About Us
Our Story
Hi, I'm Risha — a Brooklyn-based jewelry artisan, designer, and the hands behind every piece you see here.
Designed by Risha began with a simple love for creating — the kind of creating that starts at your kitchen table and slowly takes over every corner of your home. As a self-taught jewelry artist, I started making earrings and necklaces as a personal form of expression, but soon friends, family, and even strangers began asking for pieces of their own. That's when I realized — people weren't just buying jewelry, they were connecting with something meaningful, handmade, and uniquely them.
The Philosophy
I don't do mass production and I never will. Every piece in this collection is one-of-a-kind — sculpted, shaped, and finished entirely by hand in my Brooklyn studio. My design philosophy is simple: jewelry should feel like you. It should be a statement, a conversation starter, a piece of wearable art that reflects your individuality.
I draw inspiration from avant-garde fashion, street art, architecture, and the raw beauty of natural materials. The result is jewelry that's bold, unexpected, and deeply personal.
The Process & Materials
Every piece begins with an idea and ends with intention. I work with a carefully curated selection of materials:
- Hand-sculpted clay — shaped and fired to create organic, textured forms
- Upcycled leather — sourced responsibly and given new life
- Natural wood — warm, grounding, and beautifully unique in grain
- Resin — used to preserve, layer, and add depth and color
No two pieces are identical. That's not a limitation — it's the whole point.
Made in Brooklyn, With Love
My studio is my dining room table in my Brooklyn apartment, where I design and handcraft every single piece. When you wear Designed by Risha, you're wearing something made with real hands, real care, and real artistry — not a factory floor.
Thank you for supporting independent, handmade craft. It means everything.
